i wasnt exactly excited or the least interested to watch liverpool's match with sg initially.
but i was somehow forced by my brother's silly interest and passion and support for liverpool,
he kept blabbering out all their names and nationality that its difficult for me not to watch.
there's only one tv in the living room, i had to watch the match.
i thought i wasnt going to be so into the match, but guess what?
im converting to support liverpool soon. but they're a defensive team,i still like watching offensive ones, like you know,
man u. ha ha. oh, &i was so amazed by those liverpool hardcore fans, they could sing that song at the beginning of the match that was totally foreign to me.
when the match starts, i was swearing at sg team.
no, i was practically swearing at the sg team for the whole match.
before half time ends, i screamed my head off when liverpool scored at the last second.
albert riera was sub in at the 52th min.
and the match went on, until suddenly, the spain club player came in.
fernando torres was sub in at the 62th min. everybody was cheering at his presence.
i was informed by my brother that once a soccer player is sub in, he cant get sub out anymore, unlike basketball.
so woah, we get to see the muscular torres in field for the rest of the time.
then alonso & pepe reina got sub in at the 77th min.
at the 80th min, torres scored.
and nemeth who is only 20yrs old, looking so much like torres, scored the 5th goal at 82th min, just a difference of 2mins.
i was totally ecstatic about it, i have to admit.
cos i love watching sg lose terribly. i know its kinda sadistic and unpatriotic.
but guess what, i think 9/10 of the national stadium holds the "this is anfield" banner.
i wonder how it feels like watching soccer match overnight at someone's place,
& on the table would be cans of beer and snacks to munch on.
oh, i still cant identify a offside though.
how to close that distance, when you keep turning your back from me?
